Wolff Child Psychology provides a range of behavioral services to support children's emotional and behavioral regulation, executive functioning, and daily life skills. |
Some children and teenagers need support with a range of daily life skills at home and school, such as help with regulating their emotions, organizing their schoolwork, taking care of personal hygiene, managing their sleep, eating, and activity/exercise patterns, and getting along better with their parents, siblings, and friends. While therapy often can be a helpful option, we have found that working with a personal behavioral coach can be just the ticket for many children, teens, parents, and families seeking to make positive change in these areas. At Wolff Child Psychology, our behavioral coaches work in homes, schools, at our office, and virtually with parents, children, and teenagers to craft individualized, attainable life goals, and to provide concrete supports toward successfully achieving those goals.

About The Process
When you reach out to Wolff Child Psychology, you will first connect with Dr. Brian Wolff to discuss your child's areas of need and to consider whether our behavioral services are right for you. Decisions can be made at that time about the focus of our behavioral work, such as targeted support with executive functioning skills, developing more flexible patterns of emotion regulation, improving family interactions, and bolstering social skills. You will then be paired with a behavioral coach who will work with you to consider the best format of services, including the relative balance of parent, child, and family work, as well as where the coaching should occur (e.g., at home, school, in our office, and/or virtually). Our behavioral services are intended to yield concrete, observable benefits to your child and family within a reasonable amount of time.
Our behavioral coaching extends beyond the time the coach spends directly with you, your child, and your family. In between sessions, our coaches meet with one of our licensed psychologists to provide another perspective and embedded support in your child's care. If the psychologist begins to wonder whether psychotherapy is needed in addition to or instead of behavioral services, we will discuss that with you and consider appropriate next steps.
